Q. What's the difference between
Digital and Conventional Printing?
A. Digital Printing eliminates the need for 'just in
case' overruns and the associated storage and inventory
costs. Digital printing lets you print the amount you
want, when you want – with amazingly fast production
times.
Q. Is the quality as good as conventional printing?
A. That depends on the equipment. Norprint offers the
highest resolution image quality and color matching
beyond what you may have experienced before. The quality
is as good as conventional printing, with no waste!
Q. What is Variable Data Printing?
A. Variable Data Printing is a tool for addressing the
unique needs of individual customers. It is the practice
of printing documents whose content varies based on
database information. This can include information about
the recipient such as name, etc. It can also be used to
provide more relevant images and messages. For example,
showing images of the type of product they have bought
in past, or an offer based upon the size or type of
customer.
It is often combined with static (non-variable
information). For example a catalogue may have a cover
with images and offer that would appeal to the
individual (e.g. See your favourite…. on p. 65),
combined with common inside pages.
Q. Why use Variable Data Technology?
A. Think of Variable Data Technology as the natural
convergence of technology, information management and
common sense marketing allowing you to reach large
amounts of people on an individual basis.
Q. What are the benefits of Variable Data Printing?
A. Variable Data Printing gives you the ability to
produce customized one-to-one printed communications
enabling true customer relationship marketing based on
personal preferences.
Q. Can I use Variable Data Printing with my existing
printed materials?
A. Sure, by combining personalized print-on-demand
documents with static literature you can create
complete, timely and dynamic marketing communications.
Q. Do you support Mac or PC?
A. We can handle files from PC, Apple Macintosh and all
PostScript compatible documents.
Q. What software do you support?
A. We support all industry standard file formats like
Adobe Indesign CS, Quark 4, 5 or 6 for PC or Mac, Adobe
Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop. We work with your files
sent to us from wither a Mac or PSC platform. Databases
for variable data printing should be in csv. format and
we will gladly help you design your database. See our

Q. We are planning to resell. Do you offer
trade/wholesale pricing?
A. Our main business is serving other printers, brokers
and distributors with specialized products and services.
By creating an account you will be qualified as a
reseller. In Ontario this requires a valid PST number
and exemption form. The pricing shown in our catalogue
will be discounted to reflect this.
Q. How do you protect our customer information if we
are reselling?
A. We do not share the information about your customer
with anyone else. All work is done on our premises and
our production area is off limits to visitors. We do not
use images, or provide samples of your customer’s work
to others.
If you require drop shipping directly to the customer,
there is no identification about us on packaging. We do
not contact your customers. Our business is to serve
you, and protect the value you have built up in serving
your customers.
